How we can help:
Every Fiordland Outdoors Co. experience is a perfectly executed journey tailored to suit your needs.
Experience a mysterious underground world of rushing water before drifting in silent darkness beneath the luminous shimmer of thousands of glowworms.
Your trip to the Te Anau Glowworm Caves begins with a cruise to the western shores of Lake Te Anau on one of our purpose-built scenic cruise vessels. This underground world is astonishingly beautiful. By geological standards the caves are very young (12,000 years) and are still being carved out by the force of the river that flows through them. The result is a twisting network of limestone passages filled with sculpted rock, whirlpools and a roaring underground waterfall.
Fiordland Jet operates scenic jetboat tours on the Upper Waiau River which flows between Lake Te Anau and beautiful Lake Manapouri. Their jetboating excursions explore the untouched wilderness in the heart of Fiordland National Park a World Heritage Area in the South Island of New Zealand.
During the one hour jetboating experience your driver tells you about the history and geography of the area and points out many of the landmarks. The Luxmore Jet tour includes 3 actual Lord of the Rings film locations of the River Anduin.
They also offer a jetboat and guided hike combo on the Kepler Track, one of 9 Great Walks for tramping in New Zealand. A Fly and Boat combo with the Wings and Water floatplane and a Lord of the Rings Helijet with Southern Lakes Helicopters.
